Established in 1948 and based in Invercargill, Alliance Group is one of New Zealand’s leading meat processors and exporters of sheep meats with annual sales of around $1.1 billion.
Alliance processes an extensive array of chilled and frozen meat and co-products such as wool, pelts, casings and finished leather. Products include individually packaged and branded, chilled and frozen lamb, sheep, beef and venison cuts, variety meats and processed foods – all prepared under strict quality and hygiene standards.
The group’s eight processing plants are strategically located in Southland, Otago, Canterbury, Nelson and Hawkes Bay and each year processes more than 7 million lambs and sheep, 140,000 cattle and 100,000 deer.
With more than 1,200 separate product forms on offer to its customers, Alliance Group has built and maintains a global distribution network to facilitate the marketing of its product in over 65 countries.
The company has marketing representation offices in the UK, Middle East and North America. Other markets are covered by a network of importers, agencies and direct sales to customers. Alliance has forged strong links with leading retail chains in the UK, Eurpoe and North America – a reflection of its reputation for innovation, quality and commitment to client service.
